Lauren Greenhill's Self-as-Leader Digital Story - Llano Grande Retreat, November 2011
Lauren Greenhill is currently serving as the administrative intern at Belmont Elementary School in Roanoke Rapids. Before serving in this position, she was the 7th and 8th Grade English Language Arts instructor at Northampton County High School West – STEM in Gaston, North Carolina. In her three years in that role, she served as a member of the PBIS and Technology Committees, and was involved in benchmark building on the district level.
Prior to teaching, Greenhill attended Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Communications. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree, Greenhill joined the nonprofit organization Teach For America, where she earned her teaching licensure through East Carolina University and served as the Middle Grades English Content Community Leader for the Eastern North Carolina region of Teach For America as a second-year teacher. Greenhill also worked as a Corps Member Advisor at Teach For America’s Delta Institute during the summer of 2011, where she coached and mentored a group of twelve new teachers in a summer school program. Greenhill is a Cohort II Fellow of the Northeast Leadership Academy at North Carolina State University, where she is currently pursuing her Masters in School Administration.
